Pinstripes location in South Barrington closes

Pinstripes in South Barrington has closed its doors after 18 years.

An employee who came to the door Thursday confirmed the closure, but said he wasn’t authorized to speak about it. The company has yet to release a statement or post on their local social media accounts.

The restaurant is located in The Arboretum of South Barrington, 100 W Higgins Road. The “eatertainment” chain offers Italian American fare as well as bowling and bocce in an indoor/outdoor setting.

A spokesperson for The Arboretum said they're in negotiations with another dining/entertainment tenant to take the place of the shuttered restaurant.

Pinstripes Holdings, Inc. closed 10 of its 18 locations, including one in Chicago in September, as part of a bankruptcy filing. At the time, South Barrington was among the restaurants staying open.

Locations in Northbrook and Oak Brook were still open Thursday.
