Schaumburg providing post-Halloween pumpkin drop-off locations

The Schaumburg Engineering & Public Works Department and Lakeshore Recycling Systems are teaming up to offer a more sustainable way to dispose of your pumpkins after Halloween.

From Nov. 1 through Nov. 4, area residents can drop off their pumpkins for composting in the designated boxes located at Schaumburg Engineering and Public Works, 714 S. Plum Grove Road, and the Schaumburg Police Department, 1000 W. Schaumburg Road.

Residents are asked to remove any non-compostable materials such as glitter, candle wax and any other plastic before dropping off their pumpkins.
