Howlin’ at the Moon returns to Naper Settlement Oct. 24-25

Howlin’ at the Moon, Naper Settlement’s annual Halloween bash for age 21 or older, is returning on Oct. 24-25 with a lineup of live music, spine-chilling art displays, a BOOZe Bar, a Food Truck Graveyard, and more.

It will be 5-10 p.m. both days at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St. Attendees can dress up in their best Halloween costume and participate in a costume contest for the chance to win a prize. For more information and tickets, visit NaperSettlement.org/Howlin.

This year’s Howlin’ at the Moon will feature a lineup of live music that spans several genres.

On Friday from 8 to 10 p.m., High Fade, a trio from Edinburgh, Scottland, known for their razor-sharp funk and disco will take the stage. Fresh Hops, a multi-genre bending rock band, will open the night with an eclectic mix of sounds from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m.

On Saturday, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, a quartet out of Colorado, will take the stage as the headliner from 8 to 10 p.m. A keyboard player for The String Cheese Incident, Kyle Hollingsworth is known for his ability to perform in several styles, from rock to classical, while always chasing new sounds. Family Groove Company will open the evening with groove informed jazz/rock from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m.

“Expect a spooky-fun scene! Amongst the fog and gravestones, a 15-foot werewolf and menacing gargoyle loom the historic grounds, while fire fills the night sky and dances along to the music,” said Adison Glick, special events senior team leader at Naper Settlement. “Nightmares come alive in the outdoor haunt, and magic is found amongst the Halloween-themed vendors in the Moonlight Market. Guests and monsters alike can take a break and warm up next to a campfire before seeing the contortionist, sword swallower, and other shocking acts on the sideshow stage.”

With mouthwatering cuisine and drinks at the Food Truck Graveyard and BOOze Bar, live bands, thrilling sideshow performances, spooky art displays, and much more, Howlin’ at the Moon is the ultimate Halloween bash for adults age 21 or older.
