GLMV/K Winter Coat Drive For Vets now underway
With winter around the corner, it’s time for the sixth annual Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Kildeer Winter Coat Drive for Vets, with over 40 collection locations.
Generously donated gently worn and new winter coats, jackets and other seasonal outerwear (all styles and sizes, kids through adults) are needed. These items will be provided through the program to local veterans in need and their families through Midwest Veteran’s Closet, a not-for-profit charity that provides free clothing and other items to former soldiers and others.
“Our winter coat collection for veterans is a great way to show our support and thank our vets for their amazing service,” said GLMV President Scott Adams. “Thanks to all participants who help make our coat drive a huge success!”
Collection boxes are located at municipalities, police departments, and various businesses throughout the towns. Donations can be dropped off at those locations now through Nov. 20.
