Fox Lake man facing weapons charges after making threats

A 50-year-old Fox Lake man is facing assault and weapons charges after police said he threatened to shoot two people Tuesday.

Authorities said Aaron L. Pierce is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm of a disabled person and disorderly conduct. He is being held at the Lake County jail awaiting his first appearance in court.

Police said Pierce threatened a woman and her daughter at their home on the 0-100 block of East Oak Street during an argument.

Police secured a search warrant for Pierce’s home and recovered several firearms. Pierce was also given a firearms restraining order, which prevents him from possessing firearms while the order is in place.

Pierce is expected in court today.
