Hill Avenue to be closed near Glen Ellyn, Wheaton border

A portion of Hill Avenue near the border of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn is expected to be closed to traffic starting Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Hill between Prospect and Lorraine streets will be closed for pavement replacement, according to the village. The work is anticipated to continue through Oct. 20.

During the temporary closure, drivers will be directed to take a detour route using Prospect Street, Liberty Drive and Lorraine Road, the city of Wheaton advised.

The intersection at Hill and Travers avenues also will be closed, with detours posted.
