Blues Sensations Southern Avenue Headline Schaumburg Prairie Center

The Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts will present Southern Avenue with special guest Sheryl Youngblood at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg. This double bill promises an unforgettable night of soul, blues, and raw musical power.

“Southern Avenue and Sheryl Youngblood are forces of nature on their own; together, they make for a truly explosive night of music,” said Eddie Sugarman, assistant director of Cultural Services.

Hailing from Memphis, Southern Avenue delivers a powerhouse blend of blues, rock, and gospel, driven by searing vocals and high-octane energy. Their music channels the deep roots of Memphis soul while pushing boldly into the future of American roots music.

Kicking off the evening is Chicago’s own Sheryl Youngblood, a Grammy-winning vocalist and drummer whose fiery stage presence and soulful grooves have earned her acclaim across the country. Together, these two acts bring unmatched talent and passion to the stage.
