Schaumburg police and fire departments to host Public Safety Open House Oct. 11

Schaumburg is inviting the public to attend its annual Public Safety Open House from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Public Safety Campus, 950-1000 W. Schaumburg Road.

This free, family-friendly event features interactive demonstrations and exhibits from the Schaumburg fire and police departments and will be held rain or shine.

The open house allows the public to meet Schaumburg’s first-responders and learn more about their critical services.

Activities will include live fire sprinkler and vehicle extrication demonstrations, police department tours, blood pressure checks and stroke assessments with Ascension Health, and other activities.

This event will also include a bake sale benefiting the Shop with a Cop program, informational booths, games and giveaways while supplies last.
