Two juvenile suspects arrested on charges of August armed robbery in Park Ridge

Two suspects were arrested Monday for an armed robbery that took place at a gas station in Park Ridge in August.

According to a police report, Park Ridge Police arrived at 814 Higgins Road at approximately 8:02 p.m. Aug. 5. The suspects allegedly sprayed the clerk with a chemical agent and stole several cartons of cigarettes and bottles of liquor before fleeing the scene.

The clerk suffered nonlife-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Both suspects were later identified as 16-year-old males “who were positively identified by the victim as being the offenders from the robbery,” according to the report. They are being held at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting a juvenile court petition hearing.
