Lawmakers to hold electronics recycling event in Wheaton
State Sen. Seth Lewis and Rep. Amy Grant will host an electronics recycling event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 27, at Wheaton Warrenville High School.
“This free event will provide our constituents with the perfect opportunity to safely and responsibly recycle electronic items,” Lewis, a Bartlett Republican, said in a statement. “It is an efficient way for people to dispose of most old, non-functional, or unneeded electronics. More importantly, it keeps these items out of landfills.”
Items that will be accepted include cellphones, computers, computer keyboards, computer monitors, computer printers, DVD players, fax machines, portable digital music players, TVs, videocassette recorders and video game consoles.
The school is located at 1993 Tiger Trail in Wheaton. For details, call (630) 349-0645.
