Brotherhood of Harmony, Arlingtones to perform at Cutting Hall

The Brotherhood of Harmony will present an a cappella chorus concert at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine.

The program will include a wide range of songs — movie and Broadway hits, Beatles and Sinatra favorites, and traditional melodies.

The BOH Chorus has just returned from a one-week tour of France in cooperation with the Palatine Sister Cities Association and performs at the Palatine Festival of Cultures. Special guests will be the Arlingtones Chorus, which regularly performs the national anthem at the Schaumburg Boomers baseball games and each year presents spring and holiday concerts. Also featured will be the French Connection Quartet.

“We really enjoy presenting a program tailored to our audience and the occasion, and using our four-part harmony to produce the barbershop quartet sound,” BOH Chorus Director Brian Cromer said. “We make wonderful music with only our voices.”

Tickets, $15-$25, are available online at the Cutting Hall box office, cuttinghall.org.

The Brotherhood of Harmony meets weekly to rehearse at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays at DeerGrove Covenant Church, 225 E. Helen Road, Palatine. If you love to sing, the chorus has openings for all parts and skill levels; new members are welcome. For information, visit BrotherhoodOfHarmony.org or call (262)-394-6380.
