Mount Prospect’s inaugural Five-O Family Fest set for Sept. 27

The Mount Prospect Police Department will host its annual Five-O Family Fest from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the police headquarters, 911 E. Kensington Road.

The theme is Be the Hero Your Community Needs, and police encourage everyone to dress as their your favorite hero. There will be games and activities for kids, giveaways, a photo booth, a balloon artist, emergency vehicles to check out and the chance to meet police officers and working police dogs.

Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to stock the Mount Prospect Food Pantry.
