Roselle Recycles extravaganza set for Sept. 6

Green Roselle and the village will host the “Roselle Recycles” event on Sept. 6.

The community recycling event will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Roselle Metra Station north parking lot. It will accept a long list of household items for recycling.

The nonprofit SCARCE will be collecting books, records, holiday lights, Brita brand pitchers and filters, musical instruments and more. Document shredding also will be available.

The event is free, though a few vendors will charge recycling fees due to the nature of the items they accept, according to an FAQ.
