Chicago World’s Fair revisited

The Elmhurst History Museum, 120 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst, debuts its new exhibition, “World of Tomorrow: A Century of Progress,” an examination of Chicago’s 1933-1934 World’s Fair, whose motto was “Science finds, industry applies, man conforms.” The exhibition “will delve into how the World’s Fair symbolized optimism and hope, illustrating Chicago’s evolution from a frontier town to a sophisticated metropolis.” Free. Rockin’ in the Park concludes

Rosemont’s free summer concert series Rockin’ in the Park at Parkway Bank Park, 5501 Park Place, concludes with the tribute band Bee Gees Gold playing selections from early ballads “Massachusetts” and “I Started a Joke” to disco hits “Stayin’ Alive” and “You Should Be Dancing.” Also performing is The Wayouts, whose members pay tribute to 1960s rock bands The Kinks and The Animals.
