Midwest Veterans Closet is accepting donations to help defray operating expenses and other costs, including acquiring items for their Food Bank for veteran and active-duty families in need. Also, part of their mission is the collection and distribution of clothing and housewares that are offered to veterans and their families at no cost. Donations are always welcome and can be sent to: Midwest Veterans Closet, 1720 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064. They can be reached at (847) 354-2108.
The Fisher House Mission is to make measurable contributions to the military families in the area in which they are located by providing temporary housing while a family member undergoes long-term treatment at the Captain James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center. The Fisher House at Lovell FHCC has just opened and is the 100th facility in their network that stretches from coast to coast.
