Schaumburg to host Community Blood Drive Sept. 4

Schaumburg is holding its next Community Blood Drive from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1320 W. Schaumburg Road.

Every blood donation in September comes with a free hemoglobin A1C test for risk of prediabetes or diabetes. The tests will take place during the blood donation process.

Interested donors should call 1-877-258-4825 or register online at vitalant.org and use sponsor code ORD0SH98. Appointments are highly recommended to reduce wait times, but walk-ins are welcome.

Donors will receive a coupon for a free pint of Culver’s frozen custard and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of four $25 Target gift cards. All donors will also be eligible to redeem a customizable T-shirt from the Vitalant Donor Rewards store while supplies last. Donor Rewards program opt-in is required.
