A week in the books
If you’ve been following along this week, we’ve been previewing the high school football season by conferences. In today’s Daily Herald you can find outlooks on three more conferences. That completes our weeklong look at conference football previews.
For instance the Northern Lake County Conference features defending co-champions Antioch and Wauconda. Both schools look good again this season.

In DuPage County we preview the West Suburban Conference. Downers Grove South won the Gold Division a year ago with a 6-0 record. In the Silver Division, Lyons Twp. won with a 6-0 record also.

In the Fox Valley Conference, Cary-Grove hopes to improve on last year. How can the Trojans do that when they went 9-0 in the conference? Well, they went 12-1 overall, nearly reaching the Class 6A championship game. Could a state title be in their future for 2025? Take a look at what the Trojans have going for them.
