Water main repair closes part of President Street in north Wheaton

A section of President Street in Wheaton is closed to northbound traffic so that the DuPage Water Commission can complete an emergency repair on a water main.

The work is expected to continue through approximately Sunday, Aug. 17, according to a city alert.

A detour route guides northbound traffic east on Forest Avenue; north on Stoddard Avenue; west on Prairie Avenue; and north back on President.

Drivers going south may continue using President during the repair.
