Beloved WXRT radio personality Teri Hemmert emcees the Fest for Beatles Fans, a celebration of the Fab Four at The Hyatt Regency O’Hare, 9300 Bryn Mawr Ave., Rosemont. Chamber music fest

NEXUS Chamber Music, Guarneri Hall’s ensemble-in-residence, hosts its eighth annual chamber music festival consisting of three different concerts featuring world premieres and several rarely performed compositions. The first performance, “Re:construct,” celebrates composer/performers including cellist Luigi Boccherini, violinist Fritz Kreisler, and a new violin and cello duet by cellist/composer Paul Wiancko. Japan fest, part II

The success of the Cleve Carney Museum of Art and the McAninch Arts Center’s first Hokusai Japan Fest prompted a second celebration at the College of DuPage’s Lakeside Pavilion, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn. Held in conjunction with CCMA’s “Hokusai & Ukiyo-e: The Floating World, Artworks From the Chiossone Collection” exhibition, the free festival includes a performance by J-pop/anime music duo OriHANA, a koto performance by Toki Kimura, a calligraphy demonstration by Oda Sensei, along with sumo wrestling and archery demonstrations. ‘Community on the Make’

The Design Museum of Chicago, 72 E.
