Enjoy Summer Kids’ Church at Gary UMC in Wheaton

Summer Kids’ Church at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, is like no other worship time throughout the year.

All summer long, kids enjoy Bible-based activities and games before cooling off with Popsicles in the church courtyard.

Summer Kids’ Church is on Sundays at 9 a.m. through Aug. 31. On Kickoff Sunday Sept. 7, children can attend Kids’ Church at 9 and 11:11 a.m., plus Sunday school at 10 a.m.

The Wheaton church has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. It has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. This summer, the church offers worship at 9 a.m., including Kids’ Church. At 10 a.m. there’s a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.

On Sunday, Aug. 17, the church will worship in Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Starting Sept. 7, Gary Church will worship at both 9 and 11:11 a.m. Sundays, along with Sunday school for all ages between services.
