Adopt a duck in Woodridge Rotary Club’s fundraiser for scholarships

The Rotary Club of Woodridge is putting the fun in “FUNdraiser” with their first Duck Dash!

Adopt a duck for a chance to win with proceeds funding scholarships for college, summer camps, and sports participation, along with free tutoring, school supplies, backpack giveaways, mental health initiatives, homeless prevention programs, and more.

The Back-to-School Duck Dash Adoption is now open. Adopt a rubber duck for $10 and your duck can win you up to $1,000. Adoption is open through Friday, Aug. 15.

Cash prizes of $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place will be awarded. Visit woodridgerotary.org/fund-raise/ to purchase ducks.

Cheer on your duck as it races down Cypress Cove’s meandering Cajun Creek lazy river. When you adopt a duck for $10, you may enter early at 10:30 a.m. to view the 11 a.m. Duck Dash.

Watch the Duck Dash Live at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Cypress Cove Aquatic Center, 8301 Janes Avenue, Woodridge.

Bonus! Adopt a duck and receive a coupon for half-price entry to Cypress Cove on Saturday, Aug. 16. Full access to Cypress Cove Aquatic Cove after the Duck Dash requires a separate entry purchase.
