Actress to pay homage to ‘Women Who Dared’ at Glen Ellyn History Center
Actress Jessica Michna will visit the Glen Ellyn History Center this Saturday to share her portrayal of women trailblazers.
Michna will present “Women Who Dared,” a program that tells the stories of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and other suffragists in America and overseas in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Michna’s audience will learn about protests, jailings, victories and defeats, culminating in women securing the right to vote.
The event is sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society and slated to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.
