Chicago man killed in I-94 crash in Northbrook
A 60-year-old Chicago man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Northbrook.
An autopsy by the Lake County coroner’s office determined a passenger, Jianzhong Tan, died from blunt force injuries he received in the crash, which occurred on Interstate 94, north of Dundee Road.
Illinois State Police and the Northbrook Fire Department responded to a call about 10:42 a.m. of a multiple-injury crash involving a Toyota Sienna minivan with significant damage in a construction zone.
Emergency responders took Tan to Endeavor Health Highland Park Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The ISP investigation into the crash is ongoing.
