Learn what’s being done to help impaired lakes and how you can make a difference
Lake County Lake Lovers will spotlight 12 citizen-monitored lakes and how data is inspiring restoration Thursday evening during an appreciation and networking dinner at Dock’s Bar & Grill, 313 E. Liberty St. (Route 176) in Wauconda.
“Lake Stories: The Good. The Bad. The Ugly” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. highlights the stories and science behind a first-of-its-kind 2025 Lake Monitoring Pilot to track the water health of 12 local lakes and influence action.
The real-life “lake stories” offer insights into what’s working, what’s not and how community members can help make a difference. The cost is $40, including dinner and the program.
