Musicians, mutts scheduled to perform at Schaumburg’s Prairie Center for the Arts

Tickets went on sale Friday for the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts’ 2025-2026 fall season, which includes family-friendly productions, tribute concerts, comedy shows and holiday programs.

“This season truly offers a vast range of entertainment and cultural offerings that our community is going to love,” said Eddie Sugarman, assistant director of Schaumburg’s Department of Cultural Services in a prepared statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome returning favorites and exciting new acts that will light up our stage all year long.”

Among the highlights is Mutts Gone Nuts (Nov. 15), a family-friendly, howling good time featuring rescue dogs performing “jaw-dropping tricks and hilarious antics.”

The monthly comedy showcase “Thursday Night Laughs” returns for its fourth season on Sept. 18.

Concerts include: Close To You: The Music of the Carpenters (Oct. 4); Grammy Award-winner and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Youngblood with Southern Avenue (Oct. 18); Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute (Oct. 25); and Simply Three, a classically trained string trio joined by members of the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra (Nov. 16).

Holiday offerings include the rockabilly-infused “A Holly Jolly Christmas With Zachary Stevenson (Dec. 19); “The Nutcracker” (Dec. 4-14); and the Presto! Holiday Concert (Dec. 20) featuring the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra and choristers.

Performances scheduled for 2026 include: The Doo Wop Project (Jan. 17); Swedish singer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Gunhild Carling (Feb. 6); Abbey Road presents The Number Ones (Feb. 14); “School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play” (Feb. 27); storm chaser Reed Timmer: Dominate the Storm (March 1); Three Redneck Tenors (March 21); and the Schaumburg Senior Follies (March 29) among others.
