Motorcyclist seriously injured in Crystal Lake crash
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash with another vehicle Monday afternoon in Crystal Lake.
Authorities said a 31-year-old SUV driver from Algonquin failed to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left from Heritage Drive onto southbound Main Street and hit a northbound motorcyclist just before 2:30 p.m.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital via helicopter.
The driver of the SUV was not injured, police said.
A portion of Main Street was closed for nearly two hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
