No injuries reported in Streamwood house fire

A house fire early Saturday in Streamwood caused $150,000 in damage, but nobody was harmed, according to the Streamwood Fire Department.

According to a news release, the Streamwood Fire Department responded at 3:31 a.m. to a reported structure fire on the 100 block of Timber Trail. The first arriving engine company found heavy fire and smoke showing from the rear of the two-story house. Fire companies quickly attacked the fire from the outside with a hose line and then finished extinguishing the fire from the inside.

Damage to the home was significant, with a preliminary damage estimate of $150,000. All residents were able to escape without injuries.

The Bartlett, East Dundee, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg fire departments and Hanover Township Emergency Services aided at the scene. Barrington, Bartlett, Hanover Park, Schaumburg, and South Elgin fire personnel handled other calls for service in Streamwood during the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
