Meet NASCAR stars Shane Van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch ahead of Chicago race weekend
In the lead-up to one of the most exciting weekends in NASCAR racing, WeatherTech is inviting fans to a special Fan Day meet & greet autograph signing with rising NASCAR star Connor Zilisch and international motorsports icon Shane Van Gisbergen from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the WeatherTech Factory Store, 841 Remington Blvd. in Bolingbrook.
This is an opportunity for racing enthusiasts to meet two of the sport’s most dynamic drivers, collect autographs and win exclusive prizes — all while building momentum for the highly anticipated Loop 110 (Xfinity Series) on Saturday, July 5, and the Grant Park 165 (Cup Series) on Sunday, July 6, in downtown Chicago.
Eighteen-year-old Connor Zilisch is one of the youngest drivers in NASCAR today. After making headlines by winning his Xfinity Series debut at Watkins Glen International in 2024, Zilisch captured his second Xfinity victory at Circuit of the Americas earlier this year. Before entering NASCAR, he gained national attention through his success in karting, IMSA and the Trans Am Series, where he became the youngest race winner in TA2 history. Zilisch is widely regarded as a future Cup Series star, bringing skill and poise well beyond his years.
Shane Van Gisbergen, a global racing sensation from New Zealand, stunned NASCAR fans by winning his Cup Series debut at the inaugural Chicago Street Course Race in 2023 — becoming the first driver in over 60 years to win in his first Cup start.
A three-time Supercars Champion, SVG boasts over 80 Supercars victories, multiple wins in endurance events like the Bathurst 1000, and an ever-growing list of accomplishments across various racing disciplines, including rally and GT racing. The latest addition to SVG’s growing legacy came south of the border where he captured the NASCAR Cup Series victory at the inaugural race in Mexico City on June 15, 2025 with commanding authority. SVG’s Cup Series win in the Viva Mexico 250 was nothing short of dominant — crossing the finish line 16.567 seconds ahead of the field, the largest margin of victory in a Cup Series race in nearly 16 years. His fearless driving style, genuine personality and success across multiple racing disciplines have quickly made him a fan favorite in the U.S.
This Fan Day event is free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as space and giveaways are limited.
