Police: Two hospitalized after Monday crash in Schaumburg

Two people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Schaumburg.

Schaumburg police responded around 4:50 a.m. to the three-vehicle crash at Irving Park Road and Mercury Drive.

Officials said two people were taken to the hospital with injuries suffered in the crash, including a 28-year-old man whose injuries were possibly life-threatening. However, after being admitted to the hospital, his injuries no longer appeared to be life-threatening.

According to Schaumburg police, the investigation is active, and possible charges are pending.
