Police: No injuries reported, two in custody after shots fired in Schaumburg
No injuries were reported after Schaumburg police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired late Sunday afternoon.
Police called to the 800 block of South Braintree Drive at about 5:50 p.m. arrived on the scene and found that one shot was fired from a firearm. There was property damage at the scene and the gun was recovered, police said.
Two people involved in the incident are in the custody of Schaumburg Police Department, authorities said.
“At this time it is a very active investigation we are working on,” a police spokeswoman said. “Detectives and officers will continue to be in the area as the investigation develops.”
