Roselle church hosts Love Thy Neighbor community service event on June 17

Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle invites the community to take part in a day of service, connection, and faith during its upcoming event, “Love Thy Neighbor,” on Tuesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organized in collaboration with Trinity’s High School Youth mission week, Breathe, the day will focus on how the Holy Spirit breathes life into you, inspired by John 20:22, and how that spirit calls you to love and serve others.

The event will feature worship, community-building activities, and a variety of service projects throughout the local area. Partner organizations and ministries participating include Lazarus House, the Fleecers (who create blankets for those in need), Ruth Circle, the Church Prep Team, Music Ministry, and Trinity’s Building & Grounds Team.

Participants are encouraged to sign up for the service area that best fits their interests. While placement depends on need, every effort will be made to match volunteers with their preferred activities.

Families with children are especially encouraged to serve together, making this an opportunity to grow in faith and compassion as a family unit. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
