Wheaton church is hosting story hour for kids

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton is hosting “Sharing A Story” on three Tuesdays this summer.

Families with 3- to 5-year-olds (accompanied by an adult) can join this summer for a sharing of stories, activities and treats. They will meet the second Tuesdays of June, July and August for an hour of summertime morning fun.

The first one will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the church courtyard, 224 N. Main St. The next ones will be July 8 and Aug. 12.

The church has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. It has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. This summer, the church offers worship at 9 a.m., including Kids’ Church. Between services there’s a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
