Lombard Historical Society’s first Wedding Expo to feature fashion show with vintage and modern dresses
The Lombard Historical Society is hosting its first Wedding Expo on Saturday, June 7. Couples planning their dream wedding are invited to attend this one-of-a-kind event.
Guests will explore the historical society’s unique venues, which combine historic charm with modern amenities — the perfect setting for both ceremonies and receptions.
Attendees also will meet a curated selection of local vendors, offering services such as floral design, hair styling, massage therapy, music and DJ entertainment, cakes and desserts, event rentals, custom candles, and travel planning.
“We’re so excited to welcome couples to our very first Wedding Expo here at the Lombard Historical Society. It’s a great chance to explore our beautiful, historic venues and meet local wedding vendors who really care about making your day unforgettable,” said Caitlyn Dixon, museum assistant.
Confirmed vendors include: TomKat Fashion and Art Boutique, Homemade Sprinkle Candles, Shamrock Garden Florist, Prairie Honey Floral Studio, In The Mix Treats, Grayter Events LLC, DRYtini, Chicago Cloud9 Limos, House of Gemneyemz, Esotarium Florals & Decor, Unique Travel One, and more.
Two fashion shows will highlight the day, featuring stunning wedding dresses — one with vintage-inspired styles and another showcasing modern designs. All dresses will be available to rent through Thomkat Fashion and Art Boutique in downtown Lombard. Thomkat will offer a special event-day rental rate of $199 for any dress reserved at the expo.
The Victorian Cottage and Carriage House will be open for tours during the event, giving couples the chance to experience the charm and elegance of this historic venue as a potential setting for their big day.
All attendees will be entered into a raffle drawing for a chance to win a special basket that includes 20% off a venue rental at the Lombard Historical Society. Each guest will also receive a complimentary tote bag filled with vendor information, samples, and resources — even from vendors who may not be present in person.
The wedding expo will be noon to 3 p.m. at the Lombard Historical Society, 23 W. Maple St.
Registration fee is $20 per person. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the museum for this event. To register, visit lombardhistory.org or call (630) 629-1885.
