Art gallery at Wheaton’s Gary UMC opens June 6-7
All are welcome to the art gallery, featuring more than a dozen local artists at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton.
The art gallery is open on Friday, June 6, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at the church, 224 N. Main St.
With this public art gallery, the Creative Arts team of Gary UMC hopes to deepen relationships with the community through the connective power of art. This year’s theme is “The Symbolic Dimensions of Shared Spaces.”
The church has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. It has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. This summer, Gary Church offers worship at 9 a.m., including Kids’ Church. Between services there’s a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
