Wolfden Brewing kicks off Pride Month with Bloomingdale’s ‘Crafted with Pride’ Market

This weekend, Bloomingdale’s Wolfden Brewing will transform its grounds into a colorful celebration of creativity, community, and queer pride with the debut of the Crafted with Pride Summer Market — an outdoor festival that brings together more than 50 local artists and small businesses in honor of the start of Pride Month.

Running from noon to 5 p.m. on June 1, the free, family-friendly event is curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance, a regional arts collective known for organizing engaging pop-up markets throughout Chicagoland.

Visitors to 112 W. Lake St. will find Wolfden’s front lot, side yard, and beer garden filled with handpicked vendors offering everything from handmade accessories and original artwork to rainbow dog treats and affirming tarot readings.

What sets this market apart is its heartfelt embrace of Pride. Many of the makers are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and many more are proud allies.

From tie-dye T-shirts in Pride flag colorways to Gothic figurines with queer themes, this event reflects an inspiring blend of identity, artistry, and purpose.

“We wanted to launch Pride Month with something joyful, inclusive, and meaningful,” said John Streetz, curator and organizer from the Streetz Artz Alliance. “This market is about visibility, creativity, and supporting local queer artists and allies.”

Shopping with Purpose

Beyond the art and crafts, Crafted with Pride weaves philanthropy into its core. Several participating vendors have pledged to donate portions of their proceeds to organizations like The Trevor Project, Point of Pride, Trans Lifeline, Equality Institute, and the Chicago Abortion Fund.

Among the contributors is Melissa Hamilton of Dye the Day Away, a tie-dye apparel brand whose booth will directly benefit The Trevor Project. Other businesses supporting charitable causes include Avijo Design, Cunning Linguist Co., and Not All Thumbs Woodcrafts, offering everything from bold fashion statements to handcrafted kitchenware.

Artist and Vendor Highlights

Visitors can expect an eclectic and inclusive mix of creators, such as:

• Belonio Doodles – A Chicago-based illustrator with work featured by WGN and Chicago Magazine.

• DK Custom Woodwork – A veteran-owned shop crafting heirloom pieces from natural hardwood.

• Gothic Moments – Reimagining Precious Moments figurines through a dark, queer lens.

• Luna’s Loops & The Tangled Dame – Offering crocheted creatures and reclaimed wood birdhouses in Pride-themed palettes.

• Cunning Linguist Co. – A proudly queer-owned label known for its unapologetically bold accessories and apparel.

Local favorites such as Bosco’s All Natural Dog & Cat Treats, JLK Soaps and Such, and Ten Cups Tarot round out the roster with Pride-themed pet snacks, colorful bath products, and intuitive readings.

A full vendor list — spanning categories like jewelry, horror decor, woodworking, resin art, and more — is available on the event’s Facebook page.

More than a market

The celebration extends indoors, too. Wolfden Brewing’s taproom will feature 14 beers on tap, including signature pours like Foggy Thoughts and Blue Gnome, plus cider, seltzers, and a curated cocktail list for the day. Food service includes pub-style favorites like cheese curds, fries, and pretzels — perfect fare for a break between booths.

Guests are encouraged to bring their leashed pets to the outdoor areas; service animals only are permitted inside the brewery.

Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast, a supporter of LGBTQ+ makers, or just looking for a festive way to spend a Sunday afternoon, Crafted with Pride offers a vibrant kickoff to Pride Month in DuPage County.
