The Lisle Community Band is once again set to fill Community Park with the sounds of music this summer.

With a diverse lineup of concerts taking place at the Lisle Park District band shell, residents and guests alike are invited to enjoy an exceptional array of performances — all free of charge. All concerts, except July 4, start at 7:30 p.m.

The 2025 summer concert series kicks off Thursday, June 19, featuring “The Music of the Beatles, and Chicago the Musical.”

Attendees will be treated to special performances by a trumpet quartet and a piccolo soloist.

One week later, on Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m., the band honors American heritage with a program of “American Popular Music and Armed Forces Salute.” Highlights include Porgy and Bess and a vibraphone tribute to jazz legend Lionel Hampton.

The patriotic celebrations continue at 10:45 a.m. Friday, July 4, following the Lisle Independence Day Parade. The band will perform patriotic music at the Lisle Heritage Society Ice Cream Social, held at the Depot Museum.

On Thursday, July 10, the ensemble takes audiences on a journey through classical and Broadway favorites, featuring works by Bizet, Strauss, Saint-Saëns, and Gershwin, alongside selections from “The Sound of Music.” Guest vocalist Angel Spiccia will join the band for this special evening.

The season concludes with a powerful finale on Thursday, July 17, showcasing the music of Mussorgsky, Mozart, and Grainger, as well as selections from “Man of La Mancha.” The concert will spotlight a horn soloist and a clarinet feature.

These community concerts are made possible thanks to the generous support of: Lisle Community Service Corporation, Illinois Arts Council Agency, Arts DuPage/DuPage Foundation, and Lisle Park District.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy refreshments available for purchase from The Sweet Shop Bakery. In the event of rain or extreme heat, concerts will move indoors to Lisle High School.
