Two men arrested following Park Ridge traffic stop

Two Chicago-area men were arrested Wednesday morning following a traffic stop and now face multiple charges.

Park Ridge Police said driver Christopher E. Mazurek, 34, and passenger Nicholas W. Holmes, 33, were pulled over for a moving violation at the intersection of Greenwood Road and Cedar Street. Police observed drug paraphernalia on the center console along with a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

A search of the vehicle found burglary tools and several pieces of mail suspected to be stolen. Holmes was found to be in possession of an altered Illinois driver’s license and was charged with possession of fraudulent I.D.

The Cook County State’s Attorney approved felony charges of possession of Methamphetamine, possession of burglary tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia for both individuals.
