Meet Chicago Northwest, a marketing organization for the Northwest suburbs, is spotlighting a series of vibrant cultural events happening this summer highlighting the region’s diversity.

The series begins with the Summer Youth Social Powwow from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at Trickster Cultural Center, 190 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

The annual event invites the public to experience Native American culture through intertribal drumming, dancing and food.

A family-friendly free event open to all, this youth-led powwow aims to foster community relations, youth literacy and offers a powerful window into the Indigenous traditions still thriving in the region today.

The grand entrance will begin at 12:30 p.m. and there will be a fashion show at 5:30 p.m.
