Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton now offers a self-guided stained-glass windows tour of the sanctuary.

When the building was built, the only stained glass was the Rose window, installed in 1930. Through the decades, the church added more stained glass.

The center of the sanctuary holds the Christ windows, Christ the Light of the World and Christ the Good Shepherd, installed in the 1950s.

The most recent stained-glass window is the Mary window, installed in 1995. You can see 14 stained-glass windows that surround the sanctuary on the self-guided tour of the church, 224 N. Main St. For details, contact the Gary Church office, (630) 668-3100 or office@garychurch.org.
