American Legion Auxiliary honors Lake County Gold Star Families

Gold Star Families were honored by the 10th District American Legion Auxiliary on April 26. A Gold Star family has experienced the loss of an immediate family member who died as the result of active-duty military service.

The April 26 ceremony was held at the Fox Lake American Legion Hall, where Auxiliary Chair Mary Ann Petruska read a tribute to each service member who died.

Families were presented with a prayer plant and treated to lunch. Lake County Gold Star Family members included Larry and Rina Nixon, Arlene Lolley, Joann Chapley, and Joseph and Ellen Dimock.
