Police: Schaumburg woman shot by neighbor

A woman was shot by a neighbor Wednesday afternoon, but the wound is not considered life-threatening, Schaumburg police said.
Officers were called to the woman’s home on the 1500 block of Revere Circle just before 4:15 p.m.
The woman was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators believe a neighbor across the street from the wounded woman’s house discharged a firearm and the bullet traveled across the street and into the woman’s home. They do not believe the wounded woman was targeted.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and no charges have been announced yet. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact police at (847) 348-7055.
