Streamwood Environmental Education Day set for April 26
The annual Streamwood Environmental Education Day (SEED) is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at village hall and the police department.
Residents can drop off old electronics and televisions for recycling in a special collection bin located in the parking lot behind village hall, 301 E. Irving Park Road, as well has have documents shredded.
Inside the police department, 401 E. Irving Park Road, visitors can explore interactive exhibits with experts from local groups sharing tips on: gardening made easy; keeping waterways clean; conserving water; native plantings; recycling and reducing waste; and energy conservation.
