Bloomingdale Area Women in Business offer scholarship for professional development
The Bloomingdale Area Women in Business, a division of the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce, is hosting its annual scholarship opportunity for adult women seeking to advance their professional careers through continued education or professional development.
This scholarship is designed to support women looking to further their knowledge and expertise through higher education, certifications, or career-enhancing programs. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025.
Applicant criteria include: a residential or commercial affiliation with the Bloomingdale area; and an adult female over 20 years of age. Note: This scholarship is not intended for graduating high school students; those applicants should refer to the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program.
Candidates should be seeking to continue their education, return to school after time away, obtain a certification, earn continuing education credits, or advance in their career through additional training.
A committee of BAWIB members will review applications based on personal investment in education and career progression, community and industry involvement, and professional development goals. Selected applicants may also be invited for an interview.
“We are proud to support women in their educational and professional journeys,” said Cindy Allston, president/CEO of the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce. “This scholarship reflects our commitment to helping women achieve their career goals and contribute to our community’s success.”
