2 killed when car hits house in Woodridge

Two people were killed Sunday night when a Tesla hit a house in Woodridge.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. at Janes Avenue and Kildeer Street, according to Woodridge police.

The car caught fire, and so did part of the home.

The two occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene. The residents of the house were not injured.

Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson said officials suspect the Tesla was speeding.

Woodridge police and the DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team’s crash reconstruction team are investigating.
