Young dancers perform at Marklund in Elgin
Members of the Dundee Park District Dance Team performed for residents at the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin on Saturday, Feb. 22, as part of a volunteer visit.
The dance team performed a variety of styles of dance from jazz to hip hop.
“Residents enthusiastically cheered and even joined in for special appearances during the show!,” said Melanie Toth, volunteer coordinator.
A nonprofit organization located on Summit Street in Elgin, the Marklund Wasmond Center serves 61 residents — adults and children who have profound developmental disabilities.
