Wheaton’s Gary UMC to discuss themes in Jesus’ teachings

Starting Sunday, March 2 at 10:10 a.m., Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will offer the adult education class, “The Message of Jesus: Words that Changed the World.” In this study, which starts with a video, pastor and bestselling author Adam Hamilton explores six of the most important themes in Jesus’ teachings, why they matter and how they speak to us today. This series will explore Jesus’ preaching on the Kingdom of God, the Sermon on the Mount, the parables, the “I am” sayings in John and more. The series will be from March 2 through April 13 (no class on March 30 for spring break). Drop in any Sunday with no preparation. Participants can also read Hamilton’s “The Message of Jesus: Words That Changed the World.” Books are available for $15 in the church office.
