HeartcoR Solutions names industry veteran Ciaran Cooper as new CEO

HeartcoR Solutions, a leading ECG core lab that conducts cardiac safety studies for the pharmaceutical, medical device, and CRO industries, recently hired Ciaran Cooper as its CEO.

Cooper is a veteran Chicago-area health care business leader with more than 30 years industry experience in strategic business growth and operations. He will guide the continued expansion of HeartcoR’s remote patient monitoring and cardiac clinical safety trials capabilities into new markets.

Cooper fills a position temporarily held by HeartcoR Solutions founder and Chairman Larry Lawson.

Lawson will continue to lead HeartcoR, working in tandem with Cooper, who will lead the team from the company’s headquarters in Schaumburg.

Before joining HeartcoR Solutions, Cooper served as president and general manager for Philips Pharma Solutions (formerly BioTel Research), and held executive-level positions with Astellas Pharma, Median Technologies, and Bioclinica.

Cooper serves on the board of directors for Hyp+ Access and recently was elected to the board of trustees for Bennington College.
