We Can Lead Change reschedules Fox Valley ‘Meet the Candidates’ Night
We Can Lead Change-Fox Valley is rescheduling its “Meet the Candidates” night due to inclement weather expected for Wednesday, Feb. 12. The event will now take place on Wednesday, March 5.
Local elections have the power to change the future of our neighborhoods, and our nation, which is why it is hosting a Meet the Candidates night for municipal and school board races in Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles.
The event will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Baker Community Center, 101 S. Second St. in St. Charles. It will feature candidates running in the April 1 Consolidated Election. Early voting begins March 7.
“Local elections are coming up quickly, and these races of the potential to shape the future of our communities,” said WCLC member Sue Sanders of St. Charles. “We Can Lead Change’s members feel it’s important to elevate these local races to help foster informed decision-making. Change begins at the local level.”
This free, open-house-style event will feature candidates in contested races throughout the Fox Valley, though all candidates and the public are welcome to attend. Community members will have the chance to engage with candidates one-on-one, ask questions and learn more about their positions.
