‘Rights and responsibilities’ subject of annual Vernon Hills High School History Fair

Vernon Hills High School is hosting the annual History Fair Thursday and Friday, Jan. 23-24, in the school library, 145 Lakeview Parkway.

More than 300 Vernon Hills High School U.S. history students are participating with top entrants advancing to the regional and possibly state competition.

Research projects range from written reports to video documentaries and websites with an opportunity to showcase their work to other students, staff, and their parents.

This year projects must examine a U.S. history topic related to “Rights and Responsibilities.”

Each year, school history teachers select about 10 projects for each category (paper, exhibit, website, documentary) to advance to the regionals to be held March at Chicago History Museum. Contact Matt Bellito at matthew.bellito@d128.org.
