SciTech completes office renovation thanks to Community Foundation grant

SciTech in Batavia recently announced the completion of its office space renovation, made possible by a generous grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.

This project, completed in December 2024, has provided SciTech with a revitalized and fully equipped workspace, enabling staff to perform their duties more efficiently and effectively as they continue to inspire a love of science, technology, engineering, and math in the community.

The upgraded office space addresses the organization’s operational needs, allowing staff to focus on delivering high-quality educational programming and expanding outreach efforts.

Along with new equipment and updated infrastructure, the improved office environment creates a collaborative and productive atmosphere, enhancing the overall efficiency of the team.

“This renovation represents an important step forward for SciTech,” said Amanda Mistretta, executive director. “With the support of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, we now have a functional and professional workspace that reflects the growing impact of our programs. This project ensures that our team has the resources they need to continue inspiring future generations of innovators and problem-solvers.”

SciTech has also been able to use the momentum from this project to advance its programming, including the early launch of a new classroom and STEM Lab.

These spaces have already started serving local students with engaging, hands-on educational opportunities, underscoring the transformative power of community support.

SciTech extends its deepest gratitude to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for its partnership in making this project a reality. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant community through education and innovation.
